Quick update while im at work. I'm currently making my way through the 3/4 view for her reference sheet. Each view will have the individual layers drawn out so I can make an animation showing the different internal parts. Hopefully, it will come across clearly.

I meant it when I said my protogens design was multi layered. It was really the only way to wrap my head around the idea of making a protogen a bioship. Her bones function as a reinforced hallway for her crew. The modules on her chest are twin quantum super computers, boosting her computing power.

Dumb_weeb_cat @dumbweebcat.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Here's my big beautiful girl Matri_ARK.zip She's a bioship with a kaiju infusion for protecting and transporting around her crew of protogen. She ended up being such a multi-layered design, but I really love her.

Dumb_weeb_cat @dumbweebcat.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

The living situation for the crew is pretty choice. Each member gets their own cell, with an entertainment screen, fabricator, storage, and zero-G bed. Cells can even be drained for air breathing crew.

Dumb_weeb_cat @dumbweebcat.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Just finished the last image for the bioships crew. These are just your average everyday protogen. The get around using this jellyfish pattern Hazardous Environment Vehicle. It allows them to move and breathe and helps perform basic tasks and maintenance throughout the bioship.

Dumb_weeb_cat @dumbweebcat.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Just finished the second of the 3 bioship crew species. These protogen got a clownfish d.n.a. infusion. They can get to hard to reach places and help keep the bioship environment clean. 1 more of these to do, then it's on to the bioship herself.

Dumb_weeb_cat @dumbweebcat.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

I'm still working on my protogen. I just needed a little break after such a lengthy design process. In the meantime, I finished up one of the crew member species, the Betta fish infusion. These protogen defend the interior environment from threats and operate some external weaponry.

I added a little color and am very happy with the design now. This is the Awakened Yamato, the first raid level boss for a local L.A.R.P. I play. Next up will be the physical build for this thing, but that's way later.

041

Dumb_weeb_cat @dumbweebcat.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

I changed up the pose, I like it a lot better now. It shows the damage better. NGL, it took me a WHILE to figure out the bridge and surrounding anti-air orientation, but I was able to add a decent amount of spooky detail. There's an ethereal eye in the bridge tower and a mouth full of masks.

Dumb_weeb_cat @dumbweebcat.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

That L.A.R.P. raid boss fight is taking a very... Evangelion themed turn. I think I like this direction more. It is much more impressive and existentialy threatening. In this iteration, the souls of her crew coalesce into a physical representation of the ships' soul to fill the blown out gaps.

I've been drawing more, im gonna try to be better about posting things here. I have a couple of character design projects im working on in The Background that I can't wait to share.

000

Dumb_weeb_cat @dumbweebcat.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Quick look at a long upcoming L.A.R.P. project. The idea has been in my head for years, though my mindset behind the character has shifted. Major changes ahead, i think. Lore blurb: ghosts haunt the shipwreck of the Yamato. Idea: fuse the shipwreck with a paper dragon on poles for the boss fight.

A friend bought me a protogen visor, and told me to make a sona... 2 months later and I "think" the reference sketch is ready??? Does it read clearly? Is it too much? I still wanna add a personality blurb, but where??? Most importantly... Do you like her?

The kobold based colorwheel has expanded! These 12 will be the first sticker set. Each pose will come in all 12 colors, 144 stickers total. Just gotta find a place to print them for as cheaply as possible. So I can sell the pack for as little as I can. everyone needs their own rainbow kobold army!

Here's your daily dose of Kobold. Another flirty one for the sticker pack. Not really sure how many there will end up being. A 100 pk with 25 unique poses, 4 re-colors each doesn't sound terrible. I definitely want the pack to come with as many as possible for as little as possible.
