my brain DOES work differently, and trying to pretend otherwise is doing no favors to anybody. A strong self dialogue about how you think and feel is so important, and I wish it was a skill I got taught younger in life! But, we can't choose where we came from, just where we go.

Not sure what the cost/benefit of it would be, but one thing I have seen a few artists do is keep a somewhat higher tier that offers like a small doodle per month, between like 30-50 dollars. Not quite full commission level, but a chance for something bite-sized for an OC or small interaction.

It's only been a few years since my old man went, after a very healthy 18 years, and it still felt too soon. The worst part of having pets is knowing you'll say goodbye. But, we can find a little comfort in knowing we gave them beautiful lives and made lots of happy memories.

4 and 5 has already both gotten two remakes a piece, a PS1 for 4 and PS2 for 5, and then they both got DS ports on top of it as well. Since those are much more modern than some of the others, they might feel like it's better to get some of the less popular ones out. 7 was only popular in japan iirc

Playing for skill and playing for fun can coincide, but don't have to. Personally I don't find using save states very fulfilling, but somebody else using them doesn't make me worse. In single player play, it's totally irrelevant.
