Lovely to see Dublin Maker featured in Ham Radio Ireland this month. They wrote about their visit to the festival and the brilliant mix of creativity, curiosity and hands‑on making. You can read it on page 33 of their October issue: www.docdroid.com/J9I2P7H/hriv...
A collage-style page titled “Dublin Maker 2026” featuring several photos from the event. The main image shows a large wooden horse sculpture outdoors with a person crouched beside it. Smaller photos show a person drawing on a chalk path, outdoor gazebo stands with posters and projects, a robot‑wars style arena labelled “Robo Armageddon,” and a large blue-and-white tent with visitors around it. Text on the page describes Dublin Maker as a family-friendly showcase of invention and creativity, recounts a visit by EI3CC members, and highlights exhibits including an electric racing car, soldering workshops, model aircraft, and a station where children dismantle electronics to learn how they work.

One of the best parts of Dublin Maker is what happens after the festival. In the last few weeks we have visited some of our makers in their own workspaces (@farsetlabs - spot the Dublin Maker signage!)
A market stall under a large tent displays dozens of framed and unframed watercolour animal paintings, including dogs, foxes, cows, birds, and horses. Smaller prints and cards sit on tables and racks, and circular ornaments with animal illustrations hang on a stand. A person wearing a cap and patterned jacket browses on the right. The overall scene is colourful, busy, and creative.A metal cabinet stands against a chalkboard wall with faint chalk drawings. On top sits a sign reading “BELFAST Farset Labs” with a Dublin Maker logo, along with a plastic bag of colourful items and a green crate. The cabinet doors are covered with photos of people holding small crafted objects such as hexagonal shapes and pixel‑style hands. A wooden plaque reads “Dublin Maker Volunteer 2023.” A printed sign on the left says “IS SOMETHING BROKEN?” with a QR code and instructions. The scene suggests a makerspace or workshop environment.

Among the many exciting things that happened at Dublin Maker 2026 — this one deserves its own spotlight. 🧱 Ben, of Ben's Bricks, a lego genius spent two months planning a full LEGO mosaic of the Dublin Maker logo - roughly 11,500 pieces.

An amazing repair café out in Tog Hackerspace today. Today's hot ticket item: lamps! Also some amazing furniture repair and toys brought in over the afternoon. Thanks especially to all the volunteer fixers, especially those who came down from Farset Labs!
