TCAF had a little booth with an NES and Castlevania in it. I gave it a try. I was at least able to get past the first level before getting a game over which is farther than I expected.

I gave it a try with one of my images. It comes with a number of parameters you can play with to tweak the filter to your liking. BTW it seems artists are using #HEISEI_VHS to tag these images if you want to see more examples.

Side Pocket. Gave the SNES version a try on the Switch Online. It was decided on a whim. I was quickly reminded though while playing that I am very bad at Pool and could only make it past the first stage. At least the game looks nice and it has a great soundtrack. Current rating: 2.5 out of 5

Mario Kart Super Circuit Played and won the Mushroom Cup on Switch Online. I think if i had this game as a kid, I would've played it so much, trying to get trophies on every cup and every CC. Even now though I had a fun time. I only hope to play more soon. Current rating: 3 out of 5

Mario Tennis Played on the Switch Online. Despite playing this while having a cold, I still had a fun time. I got used to the controls pretty quickly. I played as Peach and tried the Mushroom Cup and Ring mode. Current Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble Played this game on the Switch Online. I would've played a lot longer but having a cold makes me a lot more tired. Still, it was a decent time, though I had to rewind a lot due to how the controls were. I kept falling into the void because of it. Current rating: 3 out of 5

Mario Golf Played an 18 hole tournament and a 9 hole mini golf. The gameplay was alright, even if repetitive. It took me a few tries to get the hang of. The best part of the game for me was the music, since its made by the same composer from Golden Sun: Motoi Sakuraba. Current rating: 3 out of 5.

Kirby's Star Stacker Had more fun with this game than I was expecting, maybe because its a fun falling block puzzle game. I gave every mode I was able to play a try, even doing pretty well on Challenge Mode. I may go back to finish all the Round Clear levels. Current rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Super Mario World I played this on Nintendo Switch Online for about an hour completing the first two worlds of the game. I think the game looks really good for its time, and the music holds up well. Now all I need to do is get better skilled at this game. Current rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Adventures of Lolo. Its a neat puzzle game that's best played when you're not tired and can focus on the puzzles. Also I had to make a lot of resets due to mistakes. But its nice seeing characters that would show up in Kirby games later on (due to both being from HAL). Current rating: 2.5 out of 5

Super Fantasy Zone I'm not great at this game but I still had fun. Its a decent side scrolling shooter game. I liked the game's looks and its music. The gameplay is fun too, though I wish the upgrades you buy at the shop would stay with you even after losing a life. Current rating: 3 out of 5.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages I've been meaning to check out the GBC Zelda games for a while and this was a good spot to try them. I only picked Ages since it was first on the Switch Online list. But so far its been a fun time. Only one dungeon completed so far. Current rating: 4 out of 5

Clu Clu Land This was more fun to play than I was expecting going in. It took a while for me to fully understand the mechanics, but even while figuring it out, I was still having fun. Despite getting lots of game overs, I wanted to keep on trying again and again. Current rating: 3 out of 5.

ToeJam and Earl I actually didn't realize ToeJam and Earl was a roguelike until I played the game for myself. It wasn't bad at all for a 1991 game. I liked how this game just had a ton of that late 80s/early 90s feel to it. The music was good too. Current rating: 3 out of 5

Dr. Mario 64 I am really bad at this game. It doesn't take long for me to reach a game over and I couldn't even make it past stage 1 of story mode. Despite this though, I had a pretty fun time and I enjoyed playing the game. The visuals and music are both enjoyable. Current rating: 3.5 out of 5

Sutte Hakkun Found this Satellaview game on the Switch Online and gave it a try. It was pretty neat and I liked the puzzles, though a few gave me some head scratchers. Since its in Japanese it took a bit of trial and error with controls but I figured it out. Current rating: 3 out of 5

Ice Climber I gave this game a fair shot, but had to give it up after 20 minutes of gameplay. The controls were just really bad. They felt sluggish and unintuitive to use. I was only able to make it to stage 8 before stopping. At least the music was nice. Current rating: 2 out of 5.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age I played the first Golden Sun game earlier this year, and after taking a long break I have started up the 2nd game. I only barely scratched the surface, but I'm happy to say its still the same Golden Sun game as before. Current rating: 4 out of 5

Pokémon Stadium I played one stadium round of the Poke Cup (Poke Ball) along with a few mini games. Despite the RNG sometimes working against me, I generally had a fun time and I enjoyed the commentary and gameplay. I had to remind myself of old Pokémon strats however. Current rating: 3.5 out of 5

Mr. Driller 2 I liked the gameplay of these digging puzzle like games. Plus I enjoyed the game's voice acting, along with its cute artstyle. The gameplay gets pretty repetitive but it is still fun. I was able to finish the India Stage, along with playing the other modes. Current rating: 3 out of 5.

Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade This was my first Fire Emblem game I ever played. While I only played the first 3 chapters, I am enjoying the game so far. The game eases me well into how the gameplay works. Plus so far the characters have been fun to meet and talk to. Current rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Earthbound I wanted to play this game after finishing Earthbound Beginnings. So far this game has been a charming and cute time. I like how everything has gotten an upgrade from the NES game, including visuals, music, and gameplay. I will keep playing in the coming days. Current rating: 4 out of 5

Wrecking Crew I played this on the Switch Online and reached the 14th level of the game. The puzzles can be neat but they get repetitive after some time and its very easy to softlock, along with the enemies being in the way too. At least I can say I tried the game. Current rating: 2.5 out of 5.

Fire 'n Ice I learned this is called Solomon's Key 2 in Europe and its a prequel game. I was only able to play for an hour and finish 2 worlds but I had a good time. I think I would've enjoyed this game better if my brain was more prepared for puzzles today. Current rating: 3 out of 5.
