I will always maintain that I found Korra’s instant ability to control 3 out of 4 elements as a child an example of bad story writing for the show. It added nothing except to say she’s just that strong and honestly just detracted from possible story avenues. They didn’t need to do it and it suffers.

I think a lot of the heavy lifting being done is her making it harder to know about her chud past. Even with new gens constantly flowing in, they aren’t gonna group around someone like that if they know that.

VRC has been dealing with this AI gen problem for basically 2 years now. It started with world thumbnails and has slowly spread to every other aspect of the platform. This isn’t a problem that just happened now. This has been happening, they knew and were told it was happening.

I think something that’s lost on people because they just weren’t paying attention is the time scale. I’ve had someone say to me that VRC just needs time to assess the community feelings and decide on a plan of action. They’ve had that time, they just haven’t used it.

They are just trying to power through this whole thing until people accept it as the norm on the platform. Which won’t work. AI content on VRChat is a worse form of clickbait than when YouTube was click based instead of retention based. It takes physical time to load a world to find out it’s fake.

This whole incident proves what I’ve said to someone recently. VRC devs are clearly fine with AI content and using it wherever on the platform. The reason they don’t say or do anything about the topic of AI is that they know people will be pissed with them.

Currently dealing with a weird @vrchat.com bug where it’s duplicating my stickers and it’s not client side as seen from this website screenshot. Every time I log into the PC app 3 of my stickers get duped and it’s starting from the oldest sticker to newest.

It should really be noted that all these rouge AIs happen because of an issue these companies know about and just keep choosing to ignore. They all break down the longer you run an instance of one. The rate of hallucinations goes up the farther you get from the starting point.

I’m drained, I’m socially spent from the lack of social interaction. I have a lot of friends on my profiles but it feels like none of them know me. I’ve been there for some in their emotional lows but I’ve spent several of mine staring at the ceiling.
