It is part of a classification system (Nova) but most people probably don’t know anything about that and use them more or less interchangeably. Actual food in the “processed” class of that system is not what people would generally consider unhealthy.

Don’t live there anymore and I’m sure it’s seen some inflation like everywhere else, but we used to take kids to Flatbread. Sharing size salads, kids would eat maybe one or two slices, and they have crayons/coloring menus. Taco Escobarr, not super cheap but reasonable and tasty.

Pretty much. There are exceptions that need surgery, displaced rib fractures with sharp ends that are poking into your lung, liver, spleen, etc. But usually it’s just pain meds and time, no red lights required.

Then you have interhospital agreements, HIPAA, etc. All the same challenges as different EMRs at different institutions I suppose. Straightforward for things like trauma pt being sent from non-trauma center to trauma center (don’t need pt consent) but other situations not always the same deal.

Hosps don’t need same PACS, as images in usual DICOM format can be stored/viewed on any PACS. Just need secure import/export link between the PACS. There are various options for this, but a statewide implementation would mean they would all have to be connected. Major undertaking.
