I saw beluga #whales every day during my Tadoussac #Quebec vacation. Look towards water and soon the familiar white forms would surface. Unfortunately I was never close enough for good photos. We were too early for krill and baleen whales. The pics are from past visits. #Canada #photography #outside

On my other telephone pole is a red clematis that I posted on my feed. Not the telephone company, but a private firm replaced the power line to the house and cut the vine to the ground. It's grown to 4 feet tall so far. 😊

The several trunks of the vine at ground level are each thick as your thigh. A replacement pole will be next to the existing pole and then the wires moved. A trumpet vine is difficult to kill. I'm hoping new shoots will come up. 😊

I'm fortunate that I've had this vine for several decades. I do make an effort to trim it a few times each year, keeping it away from the wires. The utilities on the pole are serviced often enough and until now no issues. Thanks for sharing!

This beautiful Trumpet Vine on the telephone pole by my #NJ home is going to be removed and the pole replaced. My neighbor and I are quite sad we won't be enjoying the explosion of yellow blossoms. #outside #flowers #garden #photography The photo is from several years ago, as I trim the vine.

It grows fast. In Maine, much less of a growing season, it took three years to cover a similar arch. In NJ, about six years to get that full and thick.
