Yes, I do also value my remote connections, there is a place in my life for both. And it is always lovely to talk to you online and I hope you are doing well, aside from what we have been discussing. I keep hoping I might see some more writing from you, I loved the last story I read.

I just want my connections to be with real people, no matter how messy, uncomfortable, and inefficient that may be (and surprising, deep and rewarding). I don't want a society where our best friends are chatbots 🤷 But I'm ok, I'm not depressed or anything, just a bit frustrated sometimes.

Hi Rod, I know you are right and I do try to do my bit by being involved with in-person groups. It's just a bit scary to realise there is so much in life that we have no control over. Perhaps it has always been this way and I am coming late to the realisation.

My accent wanders all the time, I'm so malleable that I pick things up from speaking to other people and being in different places. I can't do any voice or accent reliably on demand, although I do try when reading to my daughter - I think the fact she hasn't complained yet is proof she's kind.

I wonder if every generation reaches a stage where they lose their sense of security. All I can do is try to get the best out of every day, because I'm afraid of the future and I don't think I'm alone in that.

He knew he wanted to work in computers since he was younger than our daughter. She won't have the breadth of choice we did. She'll have to do something only a human can do or work in concert with a machine. I hoped we wouldn't go down this road but now I think every other possible future is blocked.

I don't talk about my husband on socials a lot but he's a software engineer and we've been married for a long time. We're very different and don't think the same way about a lot of things. Somehow, we still work because we want it to. We talked about AI this morning and now I feel sad and hopeless.

I'm slowly trying to improve my strength. I was doing really badly at visiting the gym and put a fair bit of weight on over the last year. I do like my curves but I don't like being as weak as a kitten so I'm trying to be a bit more dedicated and working on weights rather than cardio.

I struggle to stand too because I have a balance problem. Heavily tiered seating is difficult as well so I often can't go to big arenas and prefer smaller venues with seating on a slight gradient.

I accidentally ended up with all their signatures at the Reading Festival. I was trying to get the Fannies' signatures who were before them in the signing tent but missed the cutoff by a couple of people. There was no way I could go back through the mass of people behind me so had no choice.

Absolutely exhausted. Training a new staff member in the morning and then playing catch up all afternoon with the returned books, of which there were many, while also working the counter. Loads of shelving, reservations and processing did not get done today.

Strange day. I walked out into wet streets and felt the sun on the left side of my face as I walked to work. The sky was blue and I felt uplifted. I could smell cut conifer from a nearby hedge. Work's been really full on, though, I think I'll be tired later.
