Update: I just hit Part 2 and I'd say this is definitely a slower burn than other Silent Hill games I've played. Not a criticism, just an observation. It's far more contemplative and tension focused. Excited to play again and deepen the mystery.

They're right given their focus on the indie space. Experimentation and propping up new ideas is fraught with risk and someone needs to take that risk. Devolver's situation is worth keeping an eye on. I hope they can keep publishing incredible titles in these rough market conditions.

I watched the cast interviews from Konami's recent showcase and I'm glad that the characters were given so much time and care in their construction. I have a feeling that Townfall is going to be a really interesting Silent Hill game. September 24th can't come soon enough.

Gamescom ONL was great. I got what I wanted out of it. New game from the creator of Inscryption, Metro 2039 looks right in my wheelhouse and a Silent Hill: Townfall trailer that I got to skip to avoid spoilers. Oh and this new Witcher 3 game that looks excellent...

Watching the GTA VI leaker drama is, for me, what I imagine people get out of reality TV. It's not my drama but I can't look away. That shit is crazy. I don't think it'll impact GTA VI's sales in a meaningul way though. People are going to buy the game en masse.

Sadly this was highly predictable and not due to Campaign Evolved's reception, it was in the works since earlier this year. Asha is cutting costs and restructuring, Halo Studios would have been in the iron sites months before it was released. Pour one out for the devs. #halo #gamenews #gamedev
