Lookie! It's a Hudson Joycard and it is a fantastic controller. Larger than a standard Famicom controller and it has TURBO switches. Great controller and the cable is a bit longer than the stock controller too so you don't have to sit with the console in your teeth when you play.

New thing! Akumajou Densetsu (Castlevania 3) for the Famicom. I haven't paid this much for a game in a very, very long time but the expanded audio is sooo worth it. Yeah, I have flash carts and emulation handheld but this is a special thing for me. I love this game and its soundtrack.

I got inspired by a vid of some dude making an esp32 emulation handheld out of a nes controller. Bought some parts and was reminded of a pi build someone did a few years ago using a tiger handheld so I combined the two ideas and here we are! Fab is almost done, need to make room for the battery.

For those unaware, the original Famicom only has RF output. This is my 2nd attempt at a composite mod and this is the 2nd failure. Technically this works but the image is washed out, slightly askew at the top and rolls occasionally. I've since removed the video portion of this "mod"

I might, just might pickup Skywarp at some point. I still prefer the 3rd party effort but this beats the shit out of the old deluxe

Yeah so, I attempted and AV power mod on my Famicom this week and it did not go well. The AV mod board I received is very clearly not functioning as intended- It's PD compliant and the PD check just never stops resulting in it doing absolutely nothing.
