Kindergarten. I was diagnosed with ADHA in first grade but had to raw dog kindergarten without Ritalin. The first day of kindergarten, I did not finish my seat work in time and was left in the classroom with another kid to finish our work while everyone else went to recess. That was a big clue.

So I just got told by someone on FB that I am going to Hades because I do not agree with those who view the Bible as prohibiting women from serving in church leadership. This is why I am so passionate about my egalitarian beliefs. And so happy that my family found the CBF when we left the SBC.

We saw this with section 3 of the 14th amendment. By every definition of the term, IQ47 engaged in "insurrection" against the USA between the 2020 election and January 6, 2021. But the lack of enforcement mechanism allowed him to stay on the ballot in 2024.

The American health system is so messed up. I am having a minor, eye surgery on Thursday. I was happy to hear from them today, telling me that I would meet my out of pocket max and deductible with this. And that the surgery for the other eye, next month, is free. We need a single-payer system.

I live in GA-13 and voted for Dr. Clark in the primary. I much prefer her to Dr. Blair. But she will take the office in January (as the GOP gerrymandered this to be a safe blue district). And both of them are an upgrade over Mr. Scott cosplaying as Bernie from “Weekend at Bernie’s.”

I got blocked by her and wear it as a badge of honor. She claimed that open house at our HS (in Gwinnett) had a pride and trans flag in each classroom but no US flags on campus.. I told her that the reality i saw that day disagreed with her claim. Instead of providing proof, she blocked me.

And this is why I will be voting for him this year. I voted for the Libertarian candidate in 2020 and then switched to Ossoff in the runoff. I did the same for Warnock in 2022. But I will be voting for Ossoff in November. He fights back against MAGA more than any other Democrat in DC.

As someone who spent 43+ years in the SBC... I hope they vote the Mohler amendment down. The whole point of being Baptist is autonomy of local churches, not enforced conformity on an issue of secondary importance. And I am glad my family left the SBC for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in 2024.

My entire life was spent in the SBC until my family moved to the CBF in early 2024. Our former church updated their bylaws to explicitly state that only men may be pastors, and we left right after that. I love that our daughter and son are now seeing strong women pastors.

Keisha Bottoms voter here. I had no issue with Esteves, Thurmond, or any of the other Democratic candidates. I just felt that Bottoms had the best chance of winning in November. She did win every county except one on Tuesday. And Jones/Jackson is a bloodbath that will wound the eventual winner.

I put sugar in my grits (in addition to salt and butter). I learned it from my best friend in college. He grew up in Michigan and said that grits taste just like Cream of Wheat, but that they were missing sugar. That was 25+ years ago, and I still add sugar to my grits.

I (age 45) was a lifelong member of the SBC until early 2024. Our family left our former SBC church for a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) church. It's so nice to no longer be embarrassed by my denomination on a regular basis.
