Having worked on job sites and knowing what it’s like sitting in a truck, on the clock, waiting for someone else to finish up their job. Hence, why I’ve got the capacity to import epub’s with a built in library of public domain books.

The Literature section of my SolarSpec program, which has a bunch of public domain books, such as Dracula, The War of the Worlds, The Odyssey, Around the Wolrd in 80 Days and The Wind in the Willows, among others.

I did an experiment and asked Claude to rewrite the problem solving methodologies from Python to SmallTalk - because SmallTalk did AI in the 80’s. Also, would a regular developer even think about providing “Five Whys” or “Scientific Method” as structured problem solving methods? Hell, does any?

Ticketing system that gives the option of what programming engine for either the “Five Whys” or “Scientific Method” problem solver methodology.

I fear that I’ve just taken Riley on our last walk together. This morning, she was wobbly on her feet and falling over. I suspect she had a stroke overnight. We are at the vet clinic now. 😢

Fair enough… but having a long hood is a safety thing. In case of a head on collision, you want that crumple zone. If it’s too rigid, everyone would need a 5 point harness to prevent massive inertia injuries. This car doesn’t have much of front crumple zone, but it does have extensive belting

The local gardening person, had planted 1 plant and let several others die. Earlier this month there were a few other potted plants that also burnt up. She’s a nice woman, but not all there.

My friend @cheski.bsky.social texted me a photo of us. About 35 hours previous, he said “I wish we could hang out.” I said “I’m off tomorrow for several days.” So I woke up the next morning and drove to St. Louis.

There’s a really pleasant, but out of her mind woman, who lives in this building. In the 6 weeks I’ve lived here, she’s had loads of potted plants sitting outside in her “garden”, but only planted one of them. Plenty of other potted plants dried up and she threw away.

Living in subsidized housing has been interesting. At least once a week, I find someone passed out in the hallway, usually with loads of tinfoil around them. I called 911 on this guy. He apparently woke up & walked out.

Something neat the KDE desktop does in Linux, is if you lose the mouse, just waggle it around and it will get bigger so that you can find it. That’s an excellent usability feature!
