I practice Buddhism not to get, but to remove craving, desire, lust, delusion, misconceptions, to kill my ego, and uncover shadow, the driver of my unconscious tendencies.

The mediocrity of the majority stifles the genius of the few. — Schopenhauer This is why I stopped engaging in back-and-forth on worthless platforms. I live like a monk, driven by a single desire: to learn in order to be helpful. The rest is frivolous nonsense.

That drop of blood is from the well point of the spleen meridian. I’m sure that doesn’t mean much to most. What I want to point out is the amount of hair on my toes—at 74 years old, most men are losing hair at their extremities due to poor blood flow.

I am so glad that through my mistakes, I’ve built a life with true meaning—a life dedicated to helping others: the suffering, the dying, the disturbed, and the confused. How? Because I was once all of those things.

Must I rail against all the people, their actions, and the manifestations manifest by their thoughts, words, and actions? No, I refuse. My life is too precious and short

Everyday life tries to steal a day from me, every night, I try to take it back. If we go a day without healing, that’s a day we’ve been dying. Life is like a bank account. We begin with X amount of days, if we just take and never give our days will be short.

At my ripe age I’ve finally learned to do everything consciously. It’s hard to admit, to realize how many minutes I’ve allowed to pass unnoticed, or misused. I forgive myself.

Try this. Practice feeling sad without actually being sad. I believe we take our emotions too seriously. They are just feelings, experience them, but don’t ever allow them to overtake you. I love you all ❤️🙏❤️

My first business (two names) in Florida after leaving Westchester, NY… I owned two others in Coral Springs, Fl… Electronics sustained me well.

Some people say I need to “brand” myself. That idea unsettles me. It feels like playing a game I’ve never wanted to play. Jacob wrestled with God. Gabriel wrestles with Gabriel. And in that struggle, I’m finding my path forward. Wishing you all strength and clarity on your own journeys.

I’m solicited by young girls thinking this old man has something $ for them. Virtual hookers. It’s saddens me human beings objectify themselves in this fashion, but it also saddens me that I thought I had found the refuge here, but it seems like we cannot escape the underbelly of our civilization.

At 74 years old, I’ve offered this old body many opportunities to fall away and set my spirit free, yet it persisted—offering me a glimpse of what could be if I would soften and trust. I’m very grateful this morning.

Pay attention to your feet. The ancient wise ones stated that we die from the feet up.

I just made a bucket load of miso soup. I made the Dashi with beef and beef fat instead of bonito flakes 😋

@cats.bsky.social After I lost my wonderful Maine Coon Buster T Kat I’ve hesitated to try to replace him. It’s been almost 9 years and I think I’m ready. This time a female short hair 😉

This Morning’s Readings I’m especially pleased to see my visceral fat down to 8 from 14. Even at 74, I’m a work in progress. Soon, I’ll be back out on my bike in the sun. Here’s to a life lived fully and healthily. Wishing you all the best!

Elon is a genius, though history has seen many evil geniuses. He may well be the most dangerous person alive today. He’ll soon control vast amounts of global communication, even though he says he doesn’t censor anything—ask any of his former employees. He’s truly a tyrant.

It’s taken quite a while, but I finally accepted that there are some people who are willing to destroy their health and die long in order to continue to feed their habitual consumption of non-food. I wish all of those a change of mind. Below is Rick Wakeman. I’m sad.

I’ve been clearing space for my studio, emptying boxes of books, and I came across one of the few fiction writers I’ve ever read. Flannery O’Connor has a strange, almost eerie voice. I think I’ll dig back in tonight.

Two things I enjoy studying how to help people live long and die short. Also collecting old books about health. The one on the left was published in 1951. The one on the right was published in 1940. It’s amazing what they knew back then and how simple, yet powerful their understanding was…
