Not only is garnet a beautiful stone, there is a depth and richness to it that allows it to be versatile and wearable, Plus, it's my birth stone. Garnet has been used by warriors, travelers, and royalty for protection and strength for a very long time. Ancient Egyptians wore Garnet as a symbol vitality and life. Garnets were embedded into the armor and shields of medieval Crusaders, believing the stone would guide safely home.

And although Tops comes in many colors, my favorite has always been of this hue. That's not to say blue Topaz or Pink, Green, or Clear Topaz aren't gorgeous and have lovely applications in various jewels. It's jut the honey colored ones are my preferred ones.

You guys... I made the decision to start releasing Jewels of the OtherKind EARLY since I got my rights back for Night Blind back. I am tentatively slating the release date for May 1st. Starting the new quarter of the year by celebrating the beginning of the saga. This all means that y'all are going to start getting snippets and other little tidbits about the characters and Terran, the Earth-like world they live on.

It's been a crazy last few months. I had some real issues trying to get my account verified. This is a new requirement that Amazon is rolling out to help stop identity theft or some such. Only... there is no way to manually go around the system if the system isn't working. Like it wasn't for me. The program did NOT like my Alaska driver's license for some reason.
