Exciting to be at #RCPCH26 for the first time since I was an F1 (back in 2014) Thoroughly enjoyed Day 1 - I have missed the birb app to connect with people though, but can't bring myself to engage with that now! Do we have a decent number here? (And can we bring more people from x?)

This needs to include some projections around flexible working, both early and late in career, to ensure gaps aren't worsened while staff are well supported. This planning also must include proper headroom so rotas and services aren't caught short by staff sickness and other leave.

We desperately need a realistic workforce planning strategy, with attempts made to forecast the number of consultants needed, so the bottle neck isn't just moved to post-CCT. More NTNs are absolutely required and it is essential that this is done properly for a world-leading health service.
