Heartburn isn’t “just indigestion”. I’ve seen it end lives. Yesterday in the Mail I wrote about a man whose reflux was ignored until it became incurable cancer. The warning signs are simple, the tests are quick, and the treatment can save lives. Please don’t ignore persistent symptoms.

The crowded A&E corridors and disillusioned resident doctors highlight the failure of the current model of medical training. NHS staff, taxpayers and patients have been failed. In this week's Mail Good Health article I discus the new national enquiry into this and what I feel needs to change.

vimeo.com/1046359806/2... Last week I had the honour of speaking at the Brighton Med Chi society about the perpetual crisis in A&E. The video of the lecture shows what we have done to try and solve them, and the solutions to how to tackle the appalling reality of corridor care.

I am not someone who has medical zealotry beliefs……. except one. My zealotry belief in practising medicine, which the best available evidence, shows us is most beneficial. And when the evidence changes, I will change my opinion. So for now I will continue to take the covid vaccine.
