An odd day today. I’m handing over a 5x4, a 150mm lens, a tripod that can take it, a few dark slides and a continuous light to a Lithuanian artist working only in analogue The image is a self portrait, the very last exposure I took with this camera, to mark the occasion of the camera leaving

Here we have the old walls of Newcastle, rear view. In front all is lovely and pleasant. Built 13th-14th century, last time they were defended during the civil war, 1640’s. But were blown up & breached, dismantled 18th century I love to wander around photographing what I want to preserve for myself

Fishing boat on the shingle at Worthing - blue skies, blue boat, blue rope, blue fishing hut roofs - it’s just very blue everywhere, this on b&w film comes out so well, photographed on Agfa film, renowned for its fondness for blue For me the black and white is just perfect. #photography

Gone back to my film roots for two years, so much more satisfying than digital perfection. Using the Canon new F1 from 1985 with a canon 24mm lens, ilford HP5 for grain A cyclist in a hurry. #AnalogPhotography #FilmIsNotDead #BlackAndWhitePhotography #ClassicCamera #FilmisAlive #StreetLifeBW

Some new work in the format I’ve adopted for all in the future. Gone back to my film roots for two years, so much more satisfying than digital perfection. Using the Canon new F1 from 1985 with a canon 24mm lens, Ilford HP5 for that scrumptious grain.
A cyclist in a hurry.

I had a mooch about today in Newcastle, one of my favourite places, so quiet in the middle the city and peaceful - St Anne’s, Battlefield, Newcastle upon Tyne, built 1767-8
