Das ist das heimliche Grundgesetz christdemokratischer Politik: Die Vernunft politischer Ideen und Konzepte ergibt sich nicht etwa aus dem, was sie beinhalten, sondern daraus, wer sie vertritt. Erst wenn wir sie vertreten und dadurch, dass wir sie vertreten, werden sie automatisch vernünftig. Das ist so dermaßen dreist, dass es seine Rechtfertigung nur in einem findet: Es funktioniert.

CDU pur ist also so ungefähr das genaue Gegenteil von dem, was Carsten Linnemann in Interviews herbeidekliniert. Es ist keine kompromisslose Politik, sondern der Kompromiss ist schon die Politik. CDU pur bedeutete die letzten 70 Jahre nicht, die "Zeitgeisttendenzen" zu ignorieren, wie Linnemann es fordert, sondern sie genau zu studieren, um im entscheidenden Moment handlungsfähig zu sein. Man könnte auch sagen: Das C in CDU steht für Chuzpe.
