Great news for microbiome research. Stool samples can be stored in household freezers for up to six months without significant degradation or changes in microbial composition. This will make large-scale citizen science projects much easier. journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/...

Our systematic review highlights that the #intestinal_microbiota influences responses to vaccines. We observed a beneficial impact of Bifidobacterium, and a detrimental effect of Pseudomonadota, notably Gammaproteobacteria. Thank you to @nigelcurtis.bsky.social @Cristina Adura rdcu.be/d4fB5
