I miss my father the most when I discover something he would have enjoyed... we had a difficult relationship, but, we occasionally connected thru specific art. Surely hundreds of hours were sunk into Age of Mythology and Counter-Strike, and Stargate was rerun half a dozen times over dinner...

Happy #screenshotsaturday, y'all. Everyone tells new devs to start learning by cloning games like Pong. My advice: don't stop at Pong. However long you've been at it, recreating games or mechanics you like (or don't like) helps you understand the hows and whys better than just playing.

Normal Beetles: coming to stationary near you (not really, but wouldn't that be fun?)

Jerric advises against the enjoyment of alcohol in the aftermath of a head injury. Their concussed patient says she'd have preferred to have suffered a broken leg instead.

Jerric is trying to get their hands on some harm reduction supplies for her friends so they have the safest options for their drug use in the hope that perhaps they'll outlive their habits. Chum Gumby cynically remarks "none of us are gonna live that long."

When Jerric was stonewalling a cop during their booking process, their cellmate gave up names and incriminating details in a failed attempt to smooth things over.
Jerric is giving some critical feedback to their cellmate about how silence is the best response to being interviewed by a cop

I have mixed feelings about Marathon 2026 but if it dies there will be an irreplaceable hole left in me. I doubt we'll get another extraction game with this level of detail, effort, and innovation put into the world and lore. Also, it's the only game I consistently meet kind and patient teammates.
