Started a new daily-for-the-rest-of-time medication today. The dose of the tablets is measured in grams. It looks like part of my journey to healing is going to have to be "hobbies you can have while significantly nauseous." Another will be "spelling 'nauseous' correctly on the first try."

Started packing with the hardest thing: eight years of cards, notes, crafts, artwork, and other sentimental things from my wife, in a box that won't be opened at the new place. Tonight, Deb and I cried a lot, laughed even more, agreed on some important business, and ate dinner from our favorite restaurant in town one last time. I'm signing a lease and moving out this month; I'm proud of us for ending this with the love, respect, and dignity the life we shared deserved.

I think it is important to not withdraw when bad things happen in your personal life. Equally, I think it is important to not go on social media and over-rely on posting through them. Here's my balance: my marriage is ending. As a stepparent, there's a whole other layer of grieving to this.
