I was counting their appearances and only came up with four different series until I realized I was trying to block out their Enterprise episode from my mind.

The smart telescope I have is called a Seestar S30 Pro, and it picks up a lot more than I can see with my eyes, but it's designed for that. It takes a lot of long exposures and then stacks them together. My area has mid-range light-pollution, a 5 on the Bortle scale. (London is Bortle 8-9).

Finally had some clear sky again, so here's a few of my recent #astrophotography pics: The Eastern Veil Nebula, the double star clusters of NGC 869 and NGC 884, the Soul Nebula, and an attempt at getting both the Heart and Soul Nebulas in one frame. That one's not so great yet, needs more work.

The Eastern Veil Nebula. A sharp, gossamer half circle of red and green gas in space.

NGC 869 and NGC 884, two clusters of dense stars.

The Soul Nebula, a losenge-shaped red and white collection of gas and dust in space.

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched #filmsky Lion of the Desert - Braveheart must have ripped this off, but this one is actually accurate Zulu - absolute classic despite a few things Light Brigade - an infamous flop but it’s fairly decent Paths of Glory - that Kubrick guy is going places for sure

Finished my first playthrough of Star Wars: Zero Company. Fantastic game. Great story, especially for a fan of all the animated series. Gameplay was very fun. Felt like I earned every victory. Now all it needs is a skirmish or randomly generated shot campaign mode. #StarWars #ZeroCompany

Quantum mechanically speaking, we have to treat any "upcoming" Star Wars films are the same as any "upcoming" Star Trek films. They don't exist until we're sat in the theater watching the credits roll.

#LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched #filmsky 📽️ Hope - nuts in the best way. I need a sequel ASAP Gandahar - trippy French animation appeals to me War Zone - saw the cast and gave it a try. Heavy subject matter, but good performances Don’t Go In The House - too tame for an 80s slasher

Listening to the commentaries on Halloween 4 and 5 and it’s oddly comforting to know that even on lesser, late franchise horror sequels there are people both taking the work seriously and having fun. #filmsky 📽️

Everything I hear about the fan experience at Lone Star Le Mans makes me hesitant about going. Heat, lack of shade, parts off the track closed, few support series, etc. I may skip going to a race next year and hit up Gateway in 2028 to see the new Indycars.

The funny bit though: much of it takes place at a small airport in the mountains in Erie, Colorado. Erie is not in the mountains. I don’t get too bothered by such things. Hollywood is just like that. It was all filmed in Italy anyway.
