A very large calico cat with a not so large head is sprawled on the floor looking up at you, an uncertain expression on her adorable face. She is either suspicious or hungry. Hungry. She’s definitely hungry. A smaller orange cat is lying to her left. She appears to be unclear about what is happening. Which is true most of the time for her.

It’s the Nazi playbook here. There’s more evidence: speeches accusing the Jewish people of crimes; declaring Germany should be for Germans, not outsiders. It is clear Trump is planning his own migrant holocaust if he wins and the only thing that will save you is being both white AND a Trump devotee.

In 1966 my grandmother gave this gray to her oldest daughter when she left for college. In 1995 her daughter, my mother, gave it to me as I left for college. I love looking at this every morning.
