I used to listen to TYT a lot for about 6 or 7 years. Then my spouse and I noticed they started softening on some left positions, particularly surrounding the unhoused community and policing. We kept listening for awhile, but after Ana went apeshit over supposedly being called a “birthing person”…

I can second Bit Butter - I tried it because my guy has some stress around the bit when we ride, and it’s had the side effect of making bridling even easier. When it’s cold, I just warm the bit up like normal, and the warm of that and my hands is enough to get a nice, thin layer on.

My trainer did indeed love it, but we are not entering any kind of show ring any time soon either 😋 she knows I’m a little extra (rainbow reflective tack, Italian flag field boots, etc) and has a good sense of humor about it. TBH, it’s only looks this good because my guy just SNOOZES for his clips

Probably obvious, but I’m pro-turnout. Everything I’ve learned and seen, from my animal welfare education (I’m a vet) to my personal experience with horses, tells me turnout is so important for them. If you can’t offer them some kind of turnout, you shouldn’t have horses.
