Saturdays restorative vibe on the #forest trail suggested late #summer is here. The #ferns are in spore phase, and the nearby #apple orchard is bearing fruit. Finding a #raptor feather on a trail is seen by many people as a sign of good luck, focus, and strength. So I guess I am lucky today. #nature

There is a Douglas Fir #tree in one of my favorite old growth forests and when I #hike by, I give it a pat, an occasional hug and we chat. I call it "The Mother Tree". At one of the tallest trees here, I feel better when we meet. Go hug a tree. Have a chat. #nature #ecology #environment #pnw
