I have a deep understanding of human behavior. Invoking "mental disorder" to excuse heinous acts speaks of irresponsibility on the parts of both the defendant and the adults in her immediate circle. Her illness did not happen over night. They knew or should have known she was unfit to be a parent.

The first Thanksgiving saw the Wampanoag indigenous people saving the lives of settlers. Not a "celebration of Colonialism" but a demonstration of the character of the native Americans who called this continent their home first. Generosity and compassion is what is celebrated on Thanksgiving.

Animal Farm is aimed at families, especially children, for discussion of Orwell's masterpiece. But, will it awaken people to the travesty of using lovable pigs and chicks to instruct, while at the same time parents are putting these animals on plates and serving their carcasses to their children?
