I vaguely recall being creeped out by the bad guys in The Dark Crystal. Also Aliens. My father and brother were watching it once, and I would go in and watch it with them until it got too scary and leave. And then a bit later I'd go back. That night I had the worst nightmare of my life.

Love Metroid Dread but god the early part of that game is a pain in the butt.

Really hoping that if Evercold is gonna be a little bit of Heavensward-y, that they don't have a shard of Haurchefaunt show up. This fanbase will become insufferable if that happens.

Oh, Toei's YT channel is gonna start showing Kuuga. Might try watching that one again. Don't remember how far I got last time. Kinda surprised they haven't done either W or Den-O yet.

It is my hope that the Browns beat the Steelers tonight, cause fuck Aaron Rodgers, but also that Deshaun Watson is not really responsible for the win, cause fuck him too.

To add what others have already said: if I remember right, phantom knight > Protect, monk > movement speed increase, dancer > damage boost, and bard > phantom XP increase (but only from normal mobs) freelancer can do all four, but only at job level 20 (I think, might be higher)

Enjoying the game overall but dunno about the story yet. The bits in the faults and the Underpass have been the best so far. I feel like they're playing it a bit safe with Dylan's backstory and his motivations and stuff related to that. Also, still funny this is all Wake's fault.

Direwolf Aiming or the Hope (F) set (from the Guardian Arkveld fight tokens) are the best I can think of that aren't Mog Station. Other stray thoughts are Yorha Type 51 Maiming, Arcanaut Fending, and Snow Cotton Aiming.

As it turns out, nope. Weird ass show. Sequel to Samurai Troopers, but ignores the entire second half (save for one single scene) and the movies. And ignores almost the entire premise of that show as well for, as I said earlier, a militarized Sentai approach and some specific 90s nostalgia.

OK, so last episode is tomorrow. I'm guessing that Ryo and the others will give their armors to Gai and the current team, and they'll end up winning the battle with the Kikoutei. They kinda set it up with Byakuen going to the Divine world and showing that demon arts work on Yatogojin.

One path leads to attacking on the enemy's side and gives you a damage buff. The other leads to attacking on the enemy's rear and gives an attack speed buff. It doesn't matter which one you do first. If you follow which ones are flashing, it will naturally lead into the other.

000

It's not my fault I'm not immortal @drkmethos.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Viper is a bit of a sensory overload, yea. For the basic melee combo, you generally just follow which ones are flashing.

Powered through the rest of Geats today. Dunno, overall it's fine, it's nowhere near the worst KR I've watched. But wanna say it's a bit too jumpy. Lot of color and action, it spends too little time on some things and a bit too much on others. Pretty good final fight though.

000

It's not my fault I'm not immortal @drkmethos.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

I wonder if Kekera making Tycoon a "true kamen rider" by ruining his life is a reference to comments from KR viewers. He is part of the "audience" after all, like Ziin, Beroba, and Kyuun. I guess they're all references to different kinds of fans. I just wonder if he might be a bit more specific.

It's weird to think this is written by the same person that did Zeztz. Zeztz does have some issues, but it's no where as wonky as Geats. I'd like to think that's because the writing improved, but I'm more inclined to think it's just because the concept and smaller cast improved the focus.

100

It's not my fault I'm not immortal @drkmethos.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I usually don't get bothered by the writing in KR series, but man, this show just bugs me. They keep trying to do battle royale and reality tv/imposter stuff, but they only have 5 people. They keep hitting the reset button but OOPS not really because everyone gets their memories back anyway.
