A screenshot of the middle of a thread debating how much we should be doing outreach to potentially reachable Trump voters, pretty much capturing the back and forth I have all by myself in my own brain: Post 1 says “If you can’t remember the pandemic and insurrection after four years, something is seriously wrong. Either physically or mentally. You have to go out of your way to forget what happened during Trump’s first term and how things unfolded. and that’s not something that Dem messaging can fix.” Post two says “it’s pretty common for people’s memories to fade and to think that politics is separate from their loved experiences. Something like 1/3 of poll respondents don’t know which party controls the House. Millions of people were Googling “is biden still running” in late October. It’s immensely frustrating.”
