Very excited at what just dropped through the letter box! It's the @vpfa.bsky.social special issue of Archiv (including a contribution from yours truly).

I don't suppose there is a Guinness world record for longest continuous broadcast of lies but if you're going to have to broadcast this man then framing it as a record-breaking performance of lies seems like a good way to do it.
Text from the Guardian: More than 100 of Donald Trump’s inaccurate statements are to be dissected by Channel 4 to coincide with his state visit, in what it described as “the longest uninterrupted reel of untruths, falsehoods and distortions ever broadcast on television”.

"This sketch is really beautiful, defective and devoid of art though it is." Perfect description for those strangely arresting AI drawings you sometimes see, fresh from 1860.
"This boy," he said, "is an inmate artist. This sketch is really beautiful, defective and devoid of art though it is."

If anyone's looking to try a new fragrance, here's two from June 1861: Stolen Kisses and the sequel, Box-His-Ears!
A magazine advertisement that says "Please & Lubin, new scents for the festivities. Stolen Kisses when did'st thou steal thy sweets that smell if not from my love's breath? - Bard of Avon. Also, the sequel to Stolen Kisses, Box-His-Ears, That's for Remembrance! - Shakespeare. 2, New Bond Street." There is additional information about the company.

"Cor, isn't that gravel pit romantic!" "That's nothing love, wait till you see the commercial office I've got lined up next."
Text reads: "Their honeymoon took the form of a demanding two-week tour of cathedrals, monuments, museums, gravel-pits, and commercial offices stretching from Colchester to Scarborough."

And lastly, a properly tragic verse printed just in time for Christmas: "Lines on a lady, who, in the last stage of decline, was making her children's mourning" - 20 December 1845
