When harmful items are restricted in secure wards, people may turn to headbanging as self-injury 😔 This 5-year study of 421 patients found headbanging was most common in younger females with EUPD. Most incidents were rated as low harm, but the study doesn't explore why it happens. 🧵 THREAD
