Senator Klobuchar. I live in SE Minnesota and cannot drink my well water because it is contaminated with nitrates from agricultural fertilizer used to grow corn. Why in the world do we continue this insanity of subsidizing an indutry that harms our citizens and the environment?

State and Federal property is exempt from property taxes in Minnesota. The state makes "payments in lieu" of taxes to local units of government. I don't know what the feds do. But that doesn't mean the law can't be changed.

Always have a big garden, and freeze, can and dry the produce. Will add a couple of raised beds this year, and will try my hand at saving seeds for next year. Considering adding battery storage to my solar panels. Will start onion plants this week.
