I'm a South Australian. I have an old house with a large yard & driveway. Drive a hybrid. Our streets are becoming impossible to navigate due to tiny blocks with awful houses, SUVs lining the streets on both sides. But this is not the solution. Nobody needs a huge hunk of a car in the suburbs...

I have gastroparesis, type 1 diabetes & a number of other conditions. It's not as bad as this, but I have an extremely restricted diet. I shop, prepare &cook meals every day for my family that I can't eat. Mostly I cope. Special events are particularly hard. It must be very difficult for her.

People might bring up Vincent van Gogh as an example of a painter who did great work in spite of, or because of, his suffering. I like to think that van Gogh would have been even more prolific and even greater if he wasn't so restricted by the things tormenting him. I don't think it was pain that made him so great, I think painting brought him whatever happiness he had.

Twin Peaks will forever be woven into my psyche. One particular line is an earwig for me - 'But sometimes, my arms bend back...' It randomly comes into my brain at various times. Elephant Man broke me as a child. Mulholland Drive was dark and powerful. What a brilliant man David Lynch was. Vale.
