In Middle-earth terms, osimertinib is like the black arrow of Bard the Bowman—crafted for a singular purpose, to take down Smaug (the EGFR mutation). Just as Smaug’s armor had a weak spot, cancer driven by EGFR mutations has vulnerabilities that these therapies exploit. Precision is everything. 🏹
