Pirate radio from @pimoroni.com c.2018 repurposed to play Swift bird calls in the morning and evening. Learned some crontab tricks to get the script to run and stop at scheduled times. Impressed the hardware works on a modern install of Pi OS Buster lite after all these years. #nature #RaspberryPi

Coming to terms with my car writing itself off after spending £2000 on repairs last year, followed by my house showing subsidence problems. All put into perspective by my daughter’s unexpected sudden emergency admission into hospital last month. They’re doing OK now with treatment but still a worry.

Drainage work being done at home, leak in heating and the plumber fails to turn up as a head injury put them in hospital. I took my mind off it all by spilling a full mug of coffee over my desk. Keyboard no longer works. Replacement has strange tilt and no legs to adjust it. How's your day going?

Soldered 64 @pimoroni.com old school Unicorn hats for my #GalacticUnicorn project, I soldered 3 pins to the power and data pins to be able to access the Neopixels without the 40 pin header. The way I have stacked the hats looks like I'm maker poker with Neopixels chips :-) I raise you 4096 pixels!

The degree to which I feel unsettled by world economic events is such that I have felt nauseous all day, making eating difficult. As someone looking at potential retirement in the coming years my financial future outlook has taken such a hit I am not sure I will have the option to stop working.

Progress with C++ on the @pimoroni.com Presto tonight. Settled on a 480x240 screen double buffer to avoid complex PSRAM shenanigans and wrote a graphics library method to scale my circles back to round. 100 bouncing balls at almost 24fps, butter smooth. Random seed off a floating ADC.
