There’ll be some new comms about this soon, as well as investigations and enforcement for businesses and individuals using our wonderful cobbled street for fly tipping. Thanks for the EHDC team for taking action. I’ll continue to monitor and prod to make sure that action is working.

Productive meeting today with a local resident, Cllr Tim Hoskin and Officers at EHDC about how we can stop the development of the weekly bin pile at Market place.

I grew up in Kingsmead, attending Wheatcroft School and spending my childhood exploring our green spaces. Now, I'm proud to be raising a family here. I will work hard to work with you all to continue to build a community we can all be proud of. @easthertsgreens.bsky.social

I’m delighted to be standing as the Green Party candidate for Kingsmead in the East Herts District Council by-election. Since the Green party took the lead at District and Town councils, our Town and community have seen rapid improvement after years of decline.

Your Green Candidate: Drew Waller-Downes. Putting residents first.

Many voters think that politicians don't listen. Why are Greens different? We are ordinary people caring about our communities, funded by members rather than foreign fossil fuel interests. And we don't support illegal wars that push up prices! join.greenparty.org.uk

Unfortunately, the latest local Conservative leaflet misses out lots of very useful information about the Hertford Town Council precept rise. To help fill the blanks, I have provided the extra details below.

pictured is a snippet of the Conservative party leaflet in Hertford, with sections circled and explainers included. The extra information explains that the Hertford Town Council precept will be £147.57, an extra £21.11, which will be used to help fund building and green spaces improvements. The explainer highlights that Conservatives know what the money is for but have chosen not to explain, instead leaving residents to guess.

Thank you for the massive support from the East Herts Green Party, friends, family, and the Sele community. We can now add our voices and efforts to the brilliant work of the Green-led Council, improving our local community, sustainability, and environment with integrity and common sense.

I’m delighted to be elected as a councillor for Sele Ward. It was fantastic to connect to fellow members of the community during the campaign and I feel privileged to represent us in our Hertford Town Council.

Drew and Sarah, the Green Town Council Candidates looking happy after their election!
