This has been on my to do list for a while. Apparently there is a "treasures" section. Hopefully pop along on Friday. Huge library, wall to wall books, maps and rare manuscripts... www.bl.uk

Good progress on the GTI. Engine bay is finished, injection system a-ok, car starts! Now for the insides! Wish me luck... Target summer!

Putting the finishing touches to "Mobilis" now. My talented friend Glenn Frank has provided me with interior diagrams and a ship model... she's almost ready to take to sea!

Image from Artemis II at 40,000 miles away from Earth. Carl Sagan would have loved this. Hopefully all go for the translunar injection burn late this evening UK time... then Artemis II will be on the way to the moon! 🙂

My friend - it's the words, it's the feeling, it's the history - the medium always suffers, but the story never ends. :)

I've been invited to be a guest of honour and give the keynote speech at the PicoCon SF convention in London on the 7th of March! Previous speakers > Terry Pratchett, Iain M. Banks, Robert Holdstock, Peter F. Hamilton and Alistair Reynolds... not in the least bit intimidating!

I've walked like an Egyptian, moonwalked, walked on the wild-side, walked this way, walked on sunshine, walked all over you, walked the line, done the walk of life... and since moving to Scotland I've had to walk 500 miles and then walk 500 more. No wonder I'm tired.

Well, it was a stupid idea back in the early 2000s and it's a stupid idea today. However, this is good news. Now that we aren't going to be forced to use it, we can decide whether it's useful to us or not. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
