A “Duet” from Graham Bonnet’s new album.Joining him for the duet is none other than Bruce Dickinson. Its amazing that Graham is still going strong, even at damn near 79 years old.Bruce sounds amazing as always. youtu.be/niACtKSSzig?... #Grahambonnet #Brucedickinson #Metalsky #Heavymetal #Hardrock

70’s-Hands down.”Rocks” is also my favorite Aerosmith album.

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

I agree.Same could be said for King Diamond, with Andy LaRocque now gone-Who was the last original member from the OG line-up with Denner,Hansen and Dee-Mercyful Fate isn’t too far off-King and Hank Shermann are the only original members left from that band.

As far as I am concerned,it already is.

Happy 50th Anniversary to Virgin Killer, from Scorpions.70’s era Scorpions will always reign supreme,as far as I am concerned. Uli Jon Roth was a huge inspiration to me as a guitarist, just as much as Michael Schenker was. youtu.be/IgVDsz0D5U0?... #Scorpions #Metalsky #Heavymetal #Ulijonroth

I have seen tributes on some social media platforms,,however,a majority of bands who cite Venom as an influence have been uncharacteristically quiet.

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

By the way Allie,I saw Helloween,in 1987,at the Pulsations night club,in Glen Mills,Pa.The setlist was very Keeper Part 1 heavy, but they did close with How Many Tears and Ride The Sky.

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

So do I-But as you said, the edits are erratic.

010

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

That was criminal! I remember seeing that for the first time, and I honestly was pissed that they did that. That song is a masterpiece.

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Hell yes-It was a great era-You would have fit right in Allie.

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I saw the band on this tour-Fucking awesome.1986-Megadeth opened.Original line up-Denner,LaRocque,Hansen,Dee and King.Amazing.Original line up for Megadeth too-Chris Poland was insane.

110

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

That’s awesome.LOVE the song, but did not like the video. The song was edited for the video-Denner left the band after the recording of Abigail-That’s guitarist Michael Moon in the video-And man,was he awful when I saw KD in 87-Trouble was the opener.

Another track from Cirith Ungol’s upcoming new album.I grew up with this band in the 80’s,and was a massive fan of the band and original guitarist,Jerry Fogle(RIP).Vocalist Tim Baker always had a unique and identifiable voice. youtu.be/KDqlbmPHwN8?... #Heavymetal #Metalsky #Cirithungol

Oh yes, this show was notorious for all of the shenanigans that went on with Black Flag’s crew and Venom. One of Black Flag’s crew made a soundboard recording of Venom’s set,and edited out all of the songs, and just kept all of the bits of Cronos talking at length in between songs-Which was hilarious.

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I love this album, despite the critics panning it when it was released.I was fortunate to see them on the short lived 86 “Possessed” tour in the US,at the City Gardens in Trenton,NJ.They played about 3 songs from this album.Mantas quit the band after 6 shows.Black Flag and Overkill opened.

120

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Ok-That’s what I recall you telling me-You saw them with Carnivore(With Peter Steele),and Overkill, and also with Cro-Mags and Voivod? Correct? I saw them with Black Flag and Overkill right before those dates.

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I was fortunate enough to see Venom,in 1986,at the City Gardens,in Trenton,N.J.This song,for me,is Venom’s-and Conrad’s,Magnum Opus-being that he wrote the entire song.RIP Cronos-Thank you for the music. youtu.be/SWGWp012UDA?... #Metalsky #Venom #Conradlant #Heavymetal #Legend

Ken,I remember us talking quite a while ago about Venom’s tour dates in the US,during 1986.Did you see them during the two shows at The Ritz,or the City Gardens in Trenton,N.J?

100

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Absolutely! I agree 100%.Discharge was indeed a huge part of extreme music-No doubt.I really thought this was some kind of sick joke, until Conrad’s son issued a statement of his passing,on the official Venom FB page.So here’s a big “Hell Fucking Yeah” to Cronos-A legend of epic proportions.

100% Elon Musk.Regardless of his intellect,a severely flawed individual-An eccentric and stoic billionaire who has no redeeming qualities. To be honest, the term “Vaporware” comes to mind with him.

It is indeed.Another vocalist that I think would work great with Tony is Nils Patrik Johansson(Astral Doors,Wuthering Heights, etc.)

I met Bruce Bouillet several years ago-one hell of a nice guy,and every bit as good as Gilbert.Unfortunately,Racer X didn’t really do any touring on the East coast during the 80’s-They did a majority of their shows on the West coast.

Thank you Tom-That’s very kind of you to say.I know you care very deeply about the US-Even more than some of it’s own citizens-that right there gives me a sense of hope-and optimism.

010

Drew Thomas @drewschenker.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

As a US Citizen,it is utterly embarrassing and disgusting.I don’t blame the international community for their view of the US as a “Pariah” country.I can honestly tell you that a vast majority of us feel this way.

An absolute game changer of cinema. It’s astonishing how great the film still looks visually, being that it was released in 1968.The sequel,2010:The Year We Make Contact, was a great film as well.
