earlier this year, I won the sigma delta chi award from the @spj-posts.bsky.social for cultural criticism for my reported essay on Trump's threats to the Smithsonian Institution. award came in the mail yesterday. it was a reminder that my work has value and impact even as some fail to recognize it.
