I get it, though. When I write fics I find it much easier to characterize Xiao because the traveler is a bit more tricky when it comes to capturing their personality because we know very little about their backstory and the little dialogue they have is scattered everywhere

Regardless, I'm grateful for these fics anyway because they're posted for free and there's value in every fic no matter how accurate they are to their characters. I discourage any fan fic writer from changing the way they write JUST to please others. Write how u like 🙏

I don't really like reading socmed AU's where Aether would type like "AAAAAH OMG PLSSS 😭😭😭" he types so Gen Z I just don't think he would because he's even more of a grandpa than Xiao. He's corny sometimes because he's canonically an old geezer which I get but idk I rarely see him in character

They both struggle to pay rent, both astrologists, both have sassy/grumpy sides to them, both sweethearts at their best. Vesna is more playful than Lucy is. Plus Vesna overlooks a lot of the Tsarita and Fatui's crimes Lucy would have quit and joined the Rokot if she were in Genshin.
