@cdprojektred.com How will the remastered version of The Witcher 3 affect cross platform progression between my PC and Nintendo Switch 1? Thank you!

The Maine Democratic Party has an opportunity to do something genuinely incredible here—hold an open, transparent virtual convention with delegates from all 16 counties to select the new Senate nominee. No smoke-filled rooms, no shady deals, just people wielding political power for once.

I find myself very hesitant to invest in a new Netflix show because they seem to cancel everything I like just as it's about to get good (I'm looking at you, The OA). I did start watching -and enjoying - 3 Body Problem/, it only after they announced it was renewed for two final seasons.

IF the Maine Democratic Party can select a candidate in an open, transparent manner it could go a long way toward showing voters nationwide that Dems can be trusted to take care of business. If it's another coronation of an establishment favorite then I think it's a Collins win for sure.

Dr Diamond JK @drdiamondjk.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

I feel like the attention being given to this story means that as soon as a candidate is selected their name will be out there, and from what I gather the list of potential picks are known quantities to Maine voters.

Graham Platner Must Go

Democrats made the Devil's bargain with Graham Platner. The Adversary has come to collect.

At least it happened before the deadline to replace him on the ballot.

110

Dr Diamond JK @drdiamondjk.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

The voters spoke in Maine - they did not want what Mills and the DNC were offering. They wanted what Platner was offering to them. Other candidates across the US (without deep character flaws) have offered a message like Platner's to voters and won. The DNC would do well to learn from this.

000

Dr Diamond JK @drdiamondjk.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Progressive candidates might not be able to win every race, they might not be electable against every candidate, but the DNC needs to stop sidelining them when they show up in races and show up in polls. If the DNC ever wants voters to trust them again they need to listen when voters speak.

100

Dr Diamond JK @drdiamondjk.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

While I'm not going to miss Graham Platner when he (hopefully) drops out of the race and addresses this allegation, I hope the DNC realizes that a deeply, deeply flawed candidate was able to take 70% of the primary vote against a sitting governor.

Dr Diamond JK @drdiamondjk.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

We don't have to choose between the tired establishment politics of Mills and the deep moral failings of Platner. Zohran Mamdani already proved that a bold, working-class message can win historic victories without the scandals. If Dems want to win, they need to elevate the message and drop the mess.

000

Dr Diamond JK @drdiamondjk.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

Remember, a majority of voters returned a convicted felon to the presidency. We are living in a post-scandal political era. If the electorate is willing to overlook that level of baggage for a message that resonates, can the Dem establishment really justify disqualifying Platner for his past?

100

Dr Diamond JK @drdiamondjk.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

The establishment refuses to learn the real lesson of Graham Platner: Voters didn't choose him because they are blind to his deep personal flaws. They chose him because his message resonated in a way the status quo simply couldn't.

I'm watching Superstore with my wife -the one where Amy had to come back to work three days after having a baby or lose her job, and I'm just thinking about the fact that we are only one or two Supreme Court cases away from women coming back to work three days after having a baby or lose their jobs.

Baldur's Gate 3 is one of the best games I've ever played, but two years after I took a break from playing I've finally admitted to myself that it was over and hit the uninstall button. Is it more important to push myself to beat the game or to enjoy it for the hobby it is without feeling burdened?

I use AI for stuff like this all the time with zero guilt. It's not ending anyone's job because no one was going to do this job. I have a family, and a full time job, NOT the time to learn a new programming language just to do this one specific task in Excel that makes my life easier.

Thinking about Bob Weir and his passing. I saw him with the Grateful Dead in 1995 and with The Dead in 2004, but I think the best time I ever had seeing him was when Ratdog opened for @ekoostik.bsky.social at Spring Hookahville in 1998. Seeing Booby up there with Hookah...what an amazing time...

So...I wound up buying Skyrim on my Switch and I have to say it's my favorite way to play. I bought it on PC at launch and picked it up again for my Xbox One X earlier this year, but something about playing on the switch hits in just the right way

LLMs are great for working on projects as long as you can get the work done in one session. I feel like if I'm working on a project and need to stop and come back, when I resume work the model has been updated or changed and things go completely off the rails. 😩

I really enjoyed Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, but I still feel that the Gamecube Zelda games (Windwaker and Twilight Princess) were the best Zelda games. I've played both these games on my PC, and they're fun but it's not the same as playing them on my TV

I decided that the answer was no, I have not. Furthermore, I have decided that the answer always needs to be no. So, I started another playthrough yesterday and reinstalled Black Mesa. I'm staving off mortality one headcrab at a time.

I'm turning 50 later this month and thinking about the fact that life is just short. I've also been thinking about all the things I've never done and the things I'll never do again. I finished a Half Life series playthrough recently and wondered "Have I played Half Life 2 for the last time?"

I played the first Kingdom Come Deliverance for all of 10 minutes and uninstalled it as soon as I couldn't get out of the map screen. I would not buy KCD2 based on that alone. I have tried many times to get into the Civ games and again and again I fail BUT I will probably get Civ7 at some point

@gearboxofficial.bsky.social any chance of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands headed to the Switch? If it runs as well as BL3 on that platform I'd pick it up for sure. I personally prefer playing on a PC where I love playing Wonderlands, but the Switch is great for dad gaming time.

The people driving massive trucks and boats with Trump flags on them are going to feel this too, believe me. Maybe not today, but we're in for four years of self-inflicted misery - this is just the second week. They'll get their fair share of suffering too, don't you worry

000

Dr Diamond JK @drdiamondjk.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

We did tell everyone, and America voted for Trump anyway. While I'm not at all a fan of the pain and suffering that is to come I think it's high time Americans learned a lesson or two about being held accountable for the choices we make.

My wife got me a copy of City of Six Moons for Christmas - it's a card game written in an alien language played by said aliens. I picked it up tonight and I'm at the point where I can put tokens on the board and I feel like maybe this is how it's supposed to go...?

I beat Half Life 2 today for the first time in well over a decade. I can't help but notice it has aged *extremely* well. You can look at individual elements and say "yeah, that's a 20-year old game" but taken as a whole this game is still one of the most complete gaming experiences I've ever had.
