Pleased to write with @drdannywhiting.bsky.social about this rare probation-based RCT of group MBT for ASPD, which exemplifies both the promise and the challenges of the inter-agency working that is key to effective management of ASPD.

RCTs are rare in prison settings, but today, Tom Stephenson @tdgstephenson.bsky.social and Danny Whiting @drdannywhiting.bsky.social from @institutemh.org.uk blog about a new rigorous trial that provides grounds for therapeutic optimism.

Our review of international use of mechanical restraint, out in European Psychiatry (AAM version, OA). We found a striking variation in prevalence, w/patterns vs other restrictive practice led by local policy/provision rather than differentiated evidence, in which big gaps exist. shorturl.at/n1j3k
