Trump has imposed sanctions on the International Criminal Court, and while his kids "negotiate" a Ukrainian peace deal, he's paying Putin to breach sanctions. Hegseth is live-streaming an execution by firing squad, and gave the UFC a binding contract to train the US military in hand to hand combat.

A great day out in Bristol yesterday with a fabulous brewery tour at Left Handed Giant in the centre and then some fantastic ales at the Cornubia, King's Head and the Seven Stars. The pubs in Cardiff sadly pale in comparison in terms of character and beer, an aspect that needs improving.

Er cof Dic Penderyn, crogwyd ar y diwrnod hwn yn 1831. Ei eiriau olaf, ‘O Arglwydd dyma gamwedd!’ Remembering Dic Penderyn, hanged on this day 1831 for his part in the Merthyr Rising. A martyr of the Welsh working class. His last words, ‘O Lord, here is iniquity!’

✍️ Sign the petition to stop #BigChicken choking our rivers. The UK poultry industry produces 3.5 million tonnes of chicken manure every year. Too much ends up polluting our rivers. The Government wants even more industrial chicken farming. Tell them to make Big Chicken manage its own muck.

And decisions made at a Monmouthshire level seemed to favour development that actually disadvantaged the north-west valleys areas.

We did 10 locations right across Wales from Monmouthshire to Ynys Mon. I won't mention the specific one as the GP might be identifiable in a small town/village. But heard similar elsewhere from non healthcare people too.

Had one last week. Luckily I felt it on me. But even though I swatted it away quickly, too late to do some damage.

I worked on a rural futures project for a couple of years. A local GP in one area told me this. "Elderly incomers tell me they've come to retire, when in reality they've come here to die". Harsh but true. Often they are isolated ftom family, in failing health, and it puts huge strain on services.

What a day of rugby. Celtic nations winning their games. NZ, France and South Africa definitely a class above on the showings though Scotland, I thought, were excellent. Wales are improving and Ireland are still at a very decent level. Argentina and England will be disappointed at their displays.

‘Impressive’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Words that come more readily to mind, but aren’t limited to, are: opaque, dodgy funded, corrupt, lack of thought, callous, cruel, revolving doors, septic tanks. They’re a sewer of ideas for immiseration of the poor and advancement of the rich.
