Gretel’s Christmas present to me is trust enough to curl up on top of my feet. This is only the second time she has done this. Yesterday was the first. Earning that trust is one of my best accomplishments this year. We adopted her from a puppy mill rescue in January.

Made rib roast this evening. It was a bit intimidating since I had to remove the bones and then truss. It came out really well. Tasty. I’m feeling a bit braver.
