For heaven's sake can someone print this, and distribute to every journalist and politician in the country - with all their staffers, and research services available, the continued ignorance is just wilful ignorance and deliberately divisive.
There is a chart showing the different varieties of XY Chromosomes in humans.

They have control over a large number of voters via social media, now they want to control more through sporting portals. Read Orwells 1984 on how "the proles" were controlled - or even the Roman poet, Juvenal,
Image of two gladiators in a Roman arena, with the quote from Juvenal that says - "The people that once bestowed commands, consulships, legions, and all else, now concerns itself no more, and longs eagerly for just two things: bread and games!"

"Journalist" William Elliott claims to be interested in public-minded journalism. Maybe he could start by explaining the public interest in duplicity.

Please urgently consult Australian authorities who have managed this level of catastrophe for decades. And get journalists prepared for the conditions. It's hard to see a reporter wearing a sleeveless dress in an out-of-control fire zone. Australian journalists look like this in those conditions.
Reporter is shown standing in front of fire truck wearing bright orange helmet with rear neck protection, and full fireproof jackets, pants, and boots

Pauline Hanson's latest display of ignorance exposes warped values, total ignorance, and incompetence. Is it unreasonable to expect someone with 30 years in politics to know about the various reports and inquiries into DV and Family violence by the Federal Parliament (HofR and Senate)?

Same on ABC Radio National in Australia this morning - with the Israeli ambassador to Australia spewing venom and defamatory statements about the humanitarian flotilla and activists. The Hasbara/propaganda campaign never ends, as The Times of Israel reported in Dec 2024

Fails to mention that the lower contribution to GDP can be largely attributed to lower wages in feminised jobs, and wage gap in others. We can all throw numbers around haphazardly - it doesn't mean they can be understood fully out of context.

Apparently a lot of people walked out, it was so radical, which is one reason I don't like cultural lists. Lists ARE good for shopping though! And I'd be lost without my daily to do list!

The easiest action of a politician is to propose unfeasible policy that sounds good. This morning on @news.abc.net.au the newly elected One Nation member for Farrer outlined his party's policy to remove the GST on building supplies for new houses. Not a single question about how it would work.
Image of the following text:
Uncertain Price Drops: no guarantee that removing GST on materials will reduce the final price of the house. Developers and builders might absorb the savings to increase profits.
Marginal Cost Impact: The cost of building supplies is only one component of a new home. GST exemptions on materials generally translate to a small decrease in the overall cost and final price of a new residential dwelling.
Budget and Revenue Losses: The GST revenue funds essential state and territory services. Exempting specific sectors means lost revenue
Complexity in the Supply Chain: Removing GST on supplies requires complex tracking and recording to identify materials exclusively used for new houses versus renovations, commercial properties, or repairs; creating monitoring and compliance burdens and costs for builders and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Also rorts.
Broader Economic Impacts: Artificially dropping the price of new dwellings can artificially lower the CPI affecting revenues and expenses tied to inflation indexes.

As a political scientist Diermeier is lying blatantly. Universities are inherently political. Look at the history of Vanderbilt! Check out its donors, the research it has done, and the funding of that research.
The defining political stoush at Vanderbilt University in the 1960s was the 1960 expulsion of Divinity School student James Lawson, which triggered a massive civil rights crisis. Lawson was dismissed for leading nonviolent desegregation sit-ins at Nashville's downtown lunch counters, prompting national outrage and faculty resignations.

Interesting people are concerned about the pump price - maybe some concern for the revenue lost would be appropriate - the gas tax typically raises roughly $35 billion to $40 billion annually for the Highway Trust Fund. But that's not all

this proposal seems to meet the criteria of being 'vexatious' and would be unlikely to pass the AEC Commissioner's scrutiny for party registration - which (surprise!!) takes into account the potential for this kind of cynical manipulation.

Hey News Limited don't let the fact that feminist scholars and researchers have made the same arguments for DECADES. It's always best to wait for a man to make the connection, and to co-opt concepts and principles developed by feminists to make men the victims.

Stop it. Stop the boosterism. Stop the propaganda. Celebrating the minor gains gives a false impression when we're at a tipping point. Try explaining reality and the urgency of what humanity has to do. Stop treating people like fools.

The conflict over Australia's National Day is not new. The history is easily accessible even to ignorant media commentators like poor excuse for a journalist, Karl Stefanovic, or manipulative self-serving sociopaths like Hanson. Australia needs to have a mature debate.

It must be great to have a senior executive position with Goldman Sachs and take off as much time as you like to travel and pursue political activities. That's the Goldman Sachs that's heavily committed to Israel. Surely the Australian media should report this interest?

"shareholders" - such a nebulous term - are people in companies that support this - and their companies also have shareholders - it is an interconnected web of self-interest. Now all CEOs will 'benchmark' their payments to this abomination of greed.

How do YOU define accurate? ... between 1993 and 2019 "a third of the estimates of the 2PP vote, Labor’s first preferences, and the LNP’s first preferences, involved errors greater than those attributable to sampling error".

There is not "room" in the surveys if the question is not asked. As for the election results the 2PPP system disguises dis-satisfaction, even though it is preferable to FPTP. But people who study this closely have more to say on the topic ..
