I spent some time this afternoon getting to know a band and lp that is new to me. And questioning myself about how did I miss it, yet was all over DJ Shadow! #BoweryElectric #TripHop #Shoegaze #VinylCommunity #RecordCollector pitchfork.com/reviews/albu...

I’ve never listened to her. What is the best entry point?

I agree with probably half of these. How do you do it. And why does everyone seem to have a del ray lp.

Rubber Soul has been reissued today, so I’m playing my mono copy from The Beatles in Mono box set. Nearly 60 years on, it still sounds fresh. Which out-of-print LP would you most like to see reissued on vinyl? #Beatles #RubberSoul #BeatlesInMono #VinylCommunity #RecordCollector

Yesterday’s mooch around MCR resulted in a small haul of records following me home, only one was on the want list! Beck's Mutations, Bonnie Prince Billy's Ghosts of American Psychonauts, Harder Than Steel & Earthquake Studio, & Adopting Birdsong. Which record are you reaching for first? #Vinyl

It's been a while since I last played this DJ Shadow - Endtroducing Instantly transported back to West Jesmond, Newcastle, and a tiny Tyneside flat share in 1996. Music can be the most powerful time machine. What album takes you straight back to a place and time? #NotVinyl #DJShadow #Endtroducing

At the start of August, I had the pleasure of climbing all over the #Bentley #Torcal, #Crewe’s first electric vehicle and a true testament to the brand’s prestige. The coolest thing I learned was the rhythmic sound of the indicator is a recording of a pinhead hammer being tapped on to leather.

The County was my first pub. I visited it at 14 during a Saturday lunchtime break while working as a Saturday Boy in the market hall.

A mono Yellow Submarine LP on the day the wedding rings are collected feels oddly appropriate: one channel, one partnership, and All You Need Is Love providing the soundtrack to both. As a bonus, this LP completes my Beatles mono collection, if you are looking to sell & help finance the rings.

Post #1000 Just back from inter-railing across Europe. The first record I played was Magdalith, a discovery from the journey. From Kraftwerk's Computer World, my first LP, to the latest additions, these shelves tell a lifetime of listening. What record would you play first after a long trip away?

The fiat panda Benetton gives me flash backs to an ex girlfriend in 1987 who managed to turn her’s over. Thankfully she was ok and I wasn’t in the car.

I’ve been streaming TJW since your recommendation last week and I’m really enjoying it. Billy Strings and TJW have become the soundtrack to our interrail trip.

It was just perfect for the midnight train to Verona. Have you got the Country Funk compilations that came out in the early 2000s.

New reissue of Queen: Live at Wembley Stadium. Original ticket. Wembley Stadium, 12 July 1986. I was there. Nearly 40 years later, the parts I liked least as a teenager are the parts I love most. Fittingly, this is post #999. What's the one concert you'd most like to relive?

Eclipse. It didn’t go dark and the animals didn’t go mad. Well, not quite. But I knew that pile of 12-inch square cardboard would be useful someday.
