Just say you don't want it. Now I have to worry if I am communicating correctly.

I got one recently in less than 24 hrs where they said they didn't understand the clinical significance where we showed by stats and a 7 patient case series for a 1:10,000 disease we can predict the most likely phenotype and clinical outcome for certain variants. Ok then.

If anyone wants to know how stupid our provincial government is, the question "Should Alberta hold a referendum on separation from Canada?" is being asked at the same time as the question "Should Alberta elections should require proof of Canadian citizenship to vote?" 💩

Frustrating. They need to change it to "free-eating". These things still use their yolk.

Oh my god 3 days?! I'm currently in a "fight" because the latest dev biol paper misnomered "free-swimming" as hatching from the vitelline membrane at stage 36 so they want us to track starting then (so also 3 days). No, these things are still laying at the bottom of the tanks and have no mouths...

To help the tech feel better I said I'd come take a look with them. My little chick guy had that crop packed SOLID. Like a golf ball, lol. Yes, he was indeed fine.

When I worked with chickens, I got a panicked email from the animal tech that one of our poor chicks OBVIOUSLY had a goiter or some form of highly aggressive throat cancer. They were quite taken aback when I replied, it's fine, it's just being a greedy eater 😂

Mine are pretty tame. In 2021, they put me in a small library to do my talk over zoom, so I didn't have to mask. That was fine, but then they forgot about me (?!) I opened the door to a darkened empty space and had to find my own way out of the bowels of a closed building I've never been in before 💀

In the latest development of #justlablife a rascally frog has figured out how to open the rack lids and escape. They have done this TWICE now (same frog, who we have now named Drainy Houdini). Now we have to shim the lids shut using lily pads. At least its on theme. 🐸 🧪
