I passed this apple tree on my walk today. Two different colors of blossoms! Plant grafting, the fact you can just take two different plants and grow them on the same plant, is amazing!

Trying to turn rage at being a #firedfed into creativity by making art out of my no longer useful business cards until I find a new job. Don’t let the hate eat you!

Watercolor on the back of a business card with the text “Day 1, unemployment”

A pen drawing of a grasshopper with the text “day 2” colored in watercolor

Pen drawing of butterfly colored in watercolor with text “day 3”

Pen drawing of caterpillar colored in watercolor with text “day4”

I thought for sure I’d see wait-a-while on here (Calamus muelleri). Never thought I could be so frustrated by a tree that hugs back

Today I learned why people hate yellow sticky traps for collecting insects. Can make a pretty sticky goopy mess trying to get them off. And was mesmerized by the histo clear dripping into this flask. #entomology #labwork

New to bluesky so here’s Judy! She’s a lovely shoulder gecko and very good at hiding.
