Sunday Funday with my weekly fresh raw oysters and a 2023 DIRT Wine sauvignon blanc from Mariah Vineyards on Mendocino Ridge. There is a nose of pomegranate, nutmeg and orange peel with flavors of raspberry, wet rock and sea salt air. The raw oysters are from Ocean Oyster Bar in Union City.

My Saturday Selection choice is this 2021 @trentaduewinery Old Orchard Montepulciano from their estate in Alexander Valley. This displays aromas of blueberry, sage and cranberry with a palette full of sour cherry, tobacco and violets. This family producer is led by winemaker Miro Tcholakov.

My Thirsty Thursday choice are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gang surrounding this 2012 Oakville Winery cabernet sauvignon from Napa Valley. This one shows aromas of blackberry, graphite and dusty mushroom with a palette full of cassis, sage and wet stone. Cheers and enjoy the TMNT gang.

My Wine Wednesday choice is midweek fresh oysters paired with a 2025 @tojewines sauvignon blanc. This shows aromas of grapefruit, honeysuckle and sea salt salinity with flavors of white peach, lime peel and honeydew melon. It pairs perfectly with the raw oysters. Cheers.

My Monday Motivation is this pile of fresh fruit with this 2023 Mascarin pinot noir from the Moonshine Ranch Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast. This is a gorgeous pinot with a nose of cranberry, cinnamon and earthy mushroom with a palette of black cherry, blood orange and sandalwood. Cheers.

My Saturday Selection is this 2019 Montagne Russe pinot noir from the Tondré Grapefield. This has a nose of Santa Rosa plum, anise and orange peel with a palette full of blackberry, hibiscus and cocoa. It’s a nice one to enjoy as a portion of the proceeds support BirchBark Foundation.
