The end of development aid is nigh. Meanwhile billionaires and corporations will decide what development should like, who gets money and for what. And with 3/5 BRICS ruled by authoritarians, all forms of dissent, human rights etc. will be conveniently sidestepped.

I was recently invited to review a book proposal for Springer Nature. They offered $80 or twice that in books. I wrote one & as always asked to be paid in books. I chose two books worth $165. They said it is more, so we will be sending only 1 book to you. Here is what I wrote in reply.
