drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 2hI haven't been watching enough 80's films, also I've generally had good luck with films from Hong Kong over the past few years of doing this. 15. MR. VAMPIRE (1985) 010
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 5hI checked whatever fan wiki and can confirm she has not reappeared in the manga or anime (yet) 000

drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 12/10/2026I only watched the original Blair Witch a few years ago, and was surprised by how much I liked it. How fresh it felt. anyway right now, I'm slappin' my head in disbelief, yelling "THEY MADE ANOTHER?!?!?!?!?!" 12. BOOK OF SHADOWS: BLAIR WITCH 2 100
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Lastly the animations. Some units have had completely new animations created for the HD era, some haven't (used Turn A as a basic comparison). Will they HD up the old Z2 animations, reuse newer assets, make everything new? 010
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Dialogue scenes have characters appear in trimmed portraits. I think some characters have models with multiple expressions drawn. You can easily tell the ones that are just taken straight from a scene in a show, which I found a little disappointing, even if they were a bit more expressive. 100
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 12/10/2026The stage maps were top down views. Functionally, these are perfectly fine. Since V, games have been using the isometric camera. Dunno if the top down ones will look too primitive now. 100
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 11/10/2026BASED ON THE HIT VIDEO GAME FROM...oh, it came out before the game 11. DEAD SPACE (1991) 100

drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Good news, I'm now watching stuff I actually want to see. If you haven't seen this one, at the very least, I recommend listening to the fantastic theme song. 9. THE BLOB (1958) 100
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Finished the first part of Dietrich's story. That classic progression of "uhh I don't know if I'm going to like any of these weirdos" to "💖😭👍👍👍💖" 020
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 08/10/2026The last in my decade countdown tradition, and I'm ending on a weird title. One that makes me mumble "i hope this isn't like a racist movie" to myself 8. WHITE PONGO (1944) 110
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 08/10/2026This was the Anime-on-line deal of the week. Never seen it, remember it kicking about at the time. Could be good™️ 130
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I have no expectations here. It's just over an hour long. Works for me. 7. THE UNEARTHLY (1957) 100
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Trying to remember, but I think I watched or listened to something with Bill Hader talking this one up. 6. THE TOMB OF LIGEIA (1964) 100
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I'm glad that it still holds up, people are still discovering it, and we're getting new spinoffs, sequels etc. It still holds a place in my heart. 🔥Thank you, Code Geass🔥 010
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 06/10/2026It's October 6th, so... ✨🥪🥳🎉Happy 20th anniversary to Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion🎉🥳🥪✨ 110
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 05/10/2026fun fact: I don't think I've ever seen a Lucio Fulci film. double fun fact: I'm generally not big on Italian or 70's horror films uhh anyway it's time for 5. THE PSYCHIC (1977) 100
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Discovered the director of Quadrophenia (and the man behind the 2000's revival of Masterchef) also directed a version of The Bride of Frankenstein in the mid 80's. Seems like a good way to go. 4. THE BRIDE (1985) 100
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Initially I was going to watch Event Horizon, but I didn't want to watch two Paul WS Anderson movies in a row So here's a Clive Barker movie, with Scott Bakula, and ✨MAGIC✨ 3. LORD OF ILLUSIONS (1995) 100

drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 01/10/2026A pair of depression era bank robbers, their notorious crimes would spawn a controversial film, changing the face of American cinema. A legendary horror figure, continuing to haunt readers, viewers and mortals alike. yeah but imagine they fought each other 1. BONNIE & CLYDE VS DRACULA (2008/2011) 110
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 01/10/2026It's October, time for another 🎃SCARY HALLOWEEN MARATHON🎃 Same as usual, one film a day, all stuff I've never seen before 150
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I also like Valen's machine, the Vacuum. It kind of looks like a mole with a fan in the middle. Valen is only in this episode, but a giant, grey version of the Vacuum is featured prominently in the show's second opening. 110
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Outside of Rose, Valen here is one of the more popular Gishinites in GodMars. There's still a lot of fanart of her kicking about, she's also present in nearly all of GodMars SRW appearances. Both her and Rose were voiced by Rumiko Ukai. 110
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Decided on the next book goin back for more Dune 110
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 27/09/2026From what I remember, the female Gishin soldiers are all basically white women. The men are usually weird looking middle aged guys, who can have blue or green skin. A little more variety goes a long way, but I generally like the show's character designs. 100
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Despite being a fairly ubiquitous character in the series, Namida was relegated to a rarely seen NPC in SRW games. I remember getting annoyed with him when I first watched the show. despite being some twerp, he becomes part of the Crusher squad. 000
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 26/09/2026it's easy to mock GodMars for the lack of movement, but I bet kids in the 80's didn't notice/care it also looks as if it'd be a pretty cool toy 010
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I do like GodMars still using the individual God robots after the combination. I always remember Uranus being the ice one, the other robots never came off as too distinctive, unfortunately. 000
drawnrobots @drawnrobots.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I distinctly remember this guy, Kutch, showing up in Super Robot Wars D. He only appeared in D, but his machine, Colgutch has been in nearly every game GodMars has appeared in. 100
